Abstract

This study aims to go out to the community specifically in the places
where children gather and to introduce, educate and link children to
the intangible cultural heritage and to identify the views of children
about the elements of the intangible heritage and to reveal their levels
of awareness of these elements. ) from an average social situation in
different places. This goal has been achieved by providing
educational and recreational activities in modern educational methods
such as interactive technological methods - games - telling folk stories
- manual experiments as well as the method of simulating the customs
and traditions associated with many celebrations and feasts for the
residents of the governorates of Egypt to integrate elements Heritage
in the daily lives of children, and the results showed that there are
differences between children in understanding the term intangible
cultural heritage, but they have a medium and low level of awareness
of their heritage. Also, society in general and the family and
educational institutions in particular have a very important role in
developing children’s awareness on preserving the cultural values of
intangible heritage.
