Abstract

Abstract:
This research addresses a significant research gap in Arab studies concerning the impact of AI-generated news on adolescents' memory, a demographic heavily engaged with digital platforms. The study aims to analyze this impact and assess their ability to retrieve details from AI-generated news compared to traditional news. Employing an experimental approach with 60 high school students, the research utilized AI tools to generate news content, subsequently measuring recall through a specialized scale. Key findings revealed that AI-generated content diversifies the memory experience, enhances selective recall of detailed information, and acts as an equalizer for individual differences in internet experience. Based on these findings, the study recommends developing AI technologies to enhance recall, personalize news content based on individual memory patterns, and create multi-sensory experiences to strengthen long-term memory.
